Ductimator

Introduction
The Kingspan Ductimator is a technical calculation tool designed to determine the thicknesses of insulation required to limit specified heat losses / gains and to control the risk of condensation. The methods of calculation are in accordance with those given in BS EN ISO 12241: 1998 (Thermal insulation for building equipment and industrial installations - Calculation Rules).

The Kingspan Ductimator further seeks to assist in ensuring that the minimum performance requirements of the following are satisfied:

• Approved Documents L to the Building Regulations in England & Wales;
• Technical Handbooks Sections 6 to the Building Standards in Scotland;
• Technical Booklets F to the Building Regulations in Northern Ireland; and
• Technical Guidance Document L to the Building Regulations in the Republic of Ireland.

The Kingspan Ductimator has been calibrated for the Kingspan KoolDuct System of pre-insulated ductwork and the Kingspan Kooltherm Duct Insulation System.
