BS 5422: 2001
BS 5422: 2001 is still the main reference document for compliance with Section 6 of both the Domestic and Non-Domestic Technical Handbooks to the Building Standards (Scotland) and Technical Guidance Document L to the Building Regulations in the Republic of Ireland.

This vital reference document contains tables indicating the thickness of the different duct insulation materials required to meet the necessary standards in a number of scenarios.

To meet the requirements, the environmental thickness of Kingspan Koolthermregistered Duct Insulation can be up to 41% thinner than that for mineral fibre and up to 47% thinner than that for nitrile rubber, and can save on space, capital costs and installation time.
