Tapered Roofing

Many a flat roof has failed due to the problems associated with water ponding. The only effective solution is to eliminate the ponding by designing an adequate fall into the roof. Thermal insulation and rainwater run-off can be addressed with a single solution - Kingspan Thermataper tapered roofing systems.

Kingspan Insulation offer a complete design package which is available from initial concept design through to the completion of the project. This ensures that the most cost effective solution for any problem is identified and that the end result is a roof which meets your specification for rainwater run-off and insulation requirements.

Step 1 - Roof Survey
On existing roofs a free roof survey will be carried out a by an experienced member of the tapered roofing team who will collect the required information. (On new roofs an architects drawing should suffice).

Step 2 - Design
Utilising our CAD system the tapered roofing system is designed ready for client approval. Amendments or revisions can easily be incorporated. Designs can be supplied on a drawing or computer disk. The design will illustrate the required direction of drainage and will take into account:

* Required U-values
* Condensation risk analysis
* Wind uplift requirements
* Minimum/maximum rise restrictions

Step 3 - Completion
Once the final design has been accepted by the client and the Kingspan Thermataper system is ordered, a working drawing will be produced. This drawing will clearly set out the fall and direction of pitch and fixing of each board type.
