Kooltherm Pipe Insulation
Thin and efficient high performance pipe insulation.
The exclusive development from St Edward has been designed by Squire and Partners and was voted ‘Best London Home’ in the London Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2014. The seven blocks include a range of one to three bedroomed apartments along with a private swimming pool, gym, cinema and 24 hour Harrods concierge service.
Our Kooltherm Pipe Insulation System and Kooltherm Insulated Pipe Support Inserts, were installed on all constant hot water and low temperature hot water services associated with the main Energy Centre. Kooltherm Pipe Insulation offers industry leading performance with thermal conductivities as low as 0.025 W/m·K. This helped the Specialist M&E Contractor Briggs and Forrester (MEP) Ltd to minimise the space requirements for building services, maintaining the clean lines and luxury aesthetic of the apartments.
Steel framing manufacturers Sikla and Support Systems Ltd provided a high performance support solution for the pipework utilising Kooltherm Insulated Pipe Supports. Independent thermal analysis has shown that the insulated supports can reduce heat loss by up ten times compared with wooden block supports, helping to ensure compliance with the building regulations and delivering significant cost savings over time.

"375 Kensington High Street is a great example of a solutions based package with several manufacturers coordinating from an early stage. It was the prior planning by the site team in my opinion that made the project a success. Once Briggs and Forrester had approved the initial proposals, Support Systems Ltd used our products and the Kingspan Kooltherm Insulated Pipe Support Inserts to fabricate the final pipework support solution at their facility. This streamlined the installation process saving both time and cost, whilst the high thermal efficiency of the Kooltherm Insulated Pipe Supports, combined with the structural performance of our products, should bring long-term benefits for the client."
