Kingspan products are benchmarked against all relevant standards and codes, ensuring products comply with the world’s best practices.
Third-party accreditors such as SAI Global and Factory Mutual (FM) are used to independently verify product compliance. CodeMark is Australia’s leading building product certification scheme and certifies products against the relevant insulation sections of the NCC.
Kingspan Insulation Australia proudly holds 15 CodeMark-certified products across the Kooltherm and AIR-CELL ranges, having been the first insulation company to achieve this certification back in 2008. Being CodeMark certified provides peace of mind to homeowners, builders, architects and building certifiers, verifying that the relevant Kingspan products are compliant with the NCC insulation requirements for which are being promoted, helping to manage risk and legal liability better.
Sustainability
In 2020, Kingspan launched Planet Passionate, a 10-year global sustainability program that aims to positively impact climate change, circularity and protect the natural world; in how they operate and manufacture products. Kingspan Insulation’s manufacturing facility in Somerton, Victoria was awarded a 6 Star Green Star – Performance v1.2 certified rating in 2020. This rating represents ‘World Leadership’ in environmentally sustainable building practices, leading the way in innovation and the promotion of more energy efficient buildings in Australia. Being Australia’s first Green Star rated manufacturing facility is very much a part of Kingspan’s approach to corporate leadership in being Planet Passionate.
ISO 9001
Kingspan Insulation is committed to the continual improvement in safety, quality, environment and energy management. Our integrated management system used in the Somerton manufacturing facility closely aligns to the company’s strategic direction.
The facility is compliant to five separate ISO standards in IS0 9001, 14001, 18001, 50001 and 37301. These accreditations ensure that Kingspan continuously considers the impact its business activities have on all stakeholders and adopts a lifecycle perspective towards goods and services when formulating policies and procedures.
The Somerton site is audited by SAI Global, FM Certification and Underwriter Laboratories to ensure its products, manufacturing and business processes are in line with the strategic imperatives of the company, and the environmental and custodial imperatives of the community and customers it serves.
Mitigates Your Risk
When designing and specifying a building project, it is important to know that the products you are appointing provides the optimum performance required and is manufactured to the highest environmental standards.
Kingspan Insulation offers Project Specific Warranty (PSW) to every project they supply. These assurances, along with offering technical and customer service experience throughout the entire design and build process, help provide you with confidence and assurance.
The registration process for a PSW is simple. Just register your project via the online form on our website and one of our specification managers will get in contact to discuss the project, warranty and provide technical support. From then onwards, the Kingspan team are on hand to offer advice and support throughout the entire process. Upon project completion a Kingspan Insulation team member will carry out a full site inspection to ensure product installation complies with the relevant building code requirement. Once the installation has been approved you will be rewarded with a Project Specific Warranty covering your insulation for years to come.
