Product update – Kingspan Kooltherm K15 Rainscreen Board
As part of a development project, Kingspan Insulation has made adjustments to the foil facer material of Kingspan Kooltherm K15. This change affects all Kooltherm K15 manufactured from the 09th March 2022 onwards. Please note that as a result, a number of BS 8414 system tests now have a corresponding assessment in lieu of test, in accordance with the guidance given in BS 9414: 2019. This assessment takes into consideration the change of facing material.
Tested Build-up
Booth Muirie BML 400 rivet fixed 4mm Mitsubishi ALPOLIC/fr ACM panel (category 2 core material) with 10mm joints, to an aluminium vertical support railing system
- Siderise RH25G 90/30 horizontal open state cavity barrier with intumescent strip
- Siderise RSV 90/30 vertical cavity barrier
- Aluminium helping hand bracket
- 100mm Kingspan Kooltherm K15 Rainscreen Board fixed to 100mm blockwork substrate
- Combustion chamber surround constructed from 5 mm thick aluminium
