Product update – Kingspan Kooltherm K15 Rainscreen Board
As part of a development project, Kingspan Insulation has made adjustments to the foil facer material of Kingspan Kooltherm K15. This change affects all Kooltherm K15 manufactured from the 09th March 2022 onwards. Please note that as a result, a number of BS 8414 system tests now have a corresponding assessment in lieu of test, in accordance with the guidance given in BS 9414: 2019. This assessment takes into consideration the change of facing material.
Tested Build-up
- 8 mm thick Eternit Equitone Natura panels with a bird beak profile,
- 9 - 12 mm vertical and 5 - 7 mm horizontal gaps fixed to aluminium ‘L’ and ‘T’ shaped brackets with thermal pads.
- Siderise RVG-090/030/100-102 vertical cavity barrier.
- Siderise RH25G-090/30/098-102 horizontal open state cavity barrier with intumescent strip.
- 60 mm Kingspan Kooltherm K15 fixed to masonry substrate.
- Combustion chamber surround constructed from 5 mm thick aluminium
