Why use a One Stop Shop?

A One Stop Shop is an entity which offers and delivers an end-to-end service to advise on and carry out all aspects of a home energy upgrade/retrofit. It provides a unified and cohesive offering to homeowners to upgrade their homes.

The Kingspan Insulation One Stop Shop is registered with SEAI as a One Stop Shop for home energy upgrades and will manage the entire process, from initial assessment and grant application to project completion and follow-up, making the whole process much simpler and smoother than if you were to manage a retrofit upgrade project yourself.

Grants offered are provided by the Government of Ireland through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).

Key features include:

Total energy upgrade solution: We handle a range of upgrades, including insulation, heat pumps, solar PV panels, windows/doors, ventilation and more.

Fully managed process: We manage all aspects of the project, including pre-work design and preparation of porposed scopes of work, Home Energy Assessments (HEA), SEAI grant applications, contractor work, quality checks and work post Building Energy Rating (BER).

Grant deduction: A huge benefit of the One Stop Shop Service is that applicable SEAI grant amounts are deducted upfront from the project costs, making it more affordable for homeowners.

Improved energy efficiency: The goal for any OSS project will be to achieve a minimum B2 energy rating for the home, improving comfort and reducing energy bills after the work is completed. Additional options can also be considered to achieve a higher rating if desired.

Get started today by completing the no obligation enquiry form and the Kingspan Insulation Retrofit Team will be in touch to discuss your requirements.

Is your home or property eligible?

Before you start, check that your home or property is eligible. The Kingspan Insulation One Stop Shop service is available to homeowners and private landlords whose property or home meets the following criteria:

  • The home or property was built and occupied before 2011.
  • The home or property has an existing BER of B3 or lower and must achieve a minimum rating of B2 on work completion, with a 100 kWh/m²/year or better improvement on the BER primary energy value (Kingspan Insulation will work this out for you).
  • The home or property has not previously received grants for the same home energy upgrades.

Please note that some SEAI grants are only available through registered One Stop Shop service providers like Kingspan Insulation.

How it works

Initial consultation

Step 1 - Initial consultation

We will work together to understand your needs, goals and assess the eligibility of the dwelling.

BER/Home Energy Assessment (HEA)

Step 2 - BER/Home Energy Assessment (HEA)

A technical surveyor assesses the home's energy efficiency and recommends appropriate upgrades. The proposed work will be agreed and approved.

SEAI Grant Application

Step 3 - SEAI Grant Application

Kingspan Insulation will apply for and manage the SEAI grants, deducting the grant amount from the overall project cost.

Project Management

Step 4 - Works Completion

Kingspan Insulation manages all aspects of the project delivery, including contractor work and quality control.

Post Upgrade BER

Step 5 - Post Upgrade BER

A registered BER assessor completes a post-upgrade Building Energy Rating (BER) assessment.
