The Grade II* listed Royal Military Academy has been lovingly renovated by Durkan to create prestigious, high specification houses and apartments. The contractor consulted closely with Historic England to create an estate which is sympathetic to its origins, whilst simultaneously meeting the standards of contemporary living.

The Academy comprises beautiful homes with original features, a fitness suite on-site, and enchanting surroundings. Durkan chose the OPTIM-R Flooring System as it allowed them to make the most of the available space.
The original beam and block flooring had limited the ability to dig down, but installing the OPTIM-R Flooring System in a 30 mm thickness allowed them to maintain existing threshold levels while also achieving excellent thermal performance.
