Salford housing association Salix Homes worked alongside contractors Galliford Try Partnerships to regenerate the estate. As part of the project, 160 two, three and four-bedroom homes were built, replacing 146 properties that were being demolished due to historic structural issues. Phase One involved the construction of 22 new houses designed to provide residents with contemporary and functional homes.

75 mm Kooltherm K108 Cavity Board was installed. One of the thinnest commonly used insulation for partial fill cavity walls, enabled the U-values to be met or exceeded without the need of thicker insulation which would encroach on living space.
Particular attention to detailing ensured that the specification achieved good thermal performance and minimized thermal bridging, helping to make the homes more economical to keep warm, even in the colder months.
